Riding WIth The King 20th Anniversary: A Look Back

Two guitar legends - Eric Clapton and B.B. King - first jammed together in 1967 in New York City. From that very first meeting, the two wanted to collaborate. Over the intervening years, the friends managed to get in the occasional jam or one-off session. More than 30 years after their first jam, Eric and B.B. finally joined forces at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood to put down an album. The result, Riding with the King, was released in June 2000. Made up of blues classics and contemporary songs, it featured B.B.

Eric Clapton Featured On New Single From Pedrito Martinez

Renowned conguero and percussionist Pedrito Martinez has released a new single, "Yo Si Quiero," featuring Eric Clapton and Kenny Garrett. Listen below! The track is from a forthcoming album.  Born in Havana, Cuba in 1973, Pedrito settled in New York City 1998. Two years later, he was awarded the Thelonius Monk Award for Afro-Latin HandPercussion and had appeared in the documentary, Calle 54. Pedrito is widely regarded as the leading percussionist in Latin jazz and has recorded or performed with Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Chucho Valdez, Sting and Eric Clapton.

Turn up for Recovery is a charitable movement raising awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackling the stigma of addiction and helping make treatment affordable to people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Founded by Melia Clapton, she announced the movement during Eric Clapton’s 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival.
