Episode 11 Features Performances from Chris Stainton, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Sheila E! Turn up for Recovery is a charitable movement raising awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackling the stigma of addiction and helping make treatment affordable to people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. The idea for Turn up for Recovery (TUFR) came to founder, Melia Clapton, while walking her dog. She wanted to tackle the stigma around addiction and alcoholism and raise awareness about the power of abstinence based recovery.

Eric Clapton Participates In MusiCares Auction

Eric Clapton has donated a long-sleeved denim button down shirt signed on the left pocket in black marker and dated "2020" to the MusiCares Charity Auction. The auction benefits those in the music community affected by COVID-19. Head here to view the item https://bit.ly/musicares-eric-clapton MusiCares is a non-profit organization established by the Recording Academy to provide a place for musicians to turn in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis. MusiCares COVID-19 Relief has already helped upwards of 18,000 music industry artists and professionals affected by the pandemic.

TUFR Featured Artist: KT Tunstall

Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall is this week's Featured Artist on Turn Up For Recovery's YouTube Channel. Tune in Saturday 29 August at PDT 11:00am, EDT 2:00pm and BST 7:00pm, for a very special performance at youtube.com/turnupforrecovery. KT Tunstall is an Ivor Novello and BRIT Award winning and Grammy-and-Mercury- nominated artist who first rose to prominence in 2004 with a live solo performance of her song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on Later... with Jools Holland. That song and the follow up, "Suddenly I See", became global hits.
