Eric Clapton: Tokyo Budokan Night 5

Fans from all over Japan (and the world for that matter!) have converged on Tokyo to catch Eric Clapton and His Band in action at the Budokan. Now past the mid-point of the 7 night concert series, EC and the band performed an 18 song set list on 25 February. Adult contemporary radio favorite "Wonderful Tonight" is still in the set list to the chagrin of the Japanese fans. However, the excellent versions of "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Little Queen of Spades," more than made up for it according to early reports! This show was filmed by WOWOW Television for broadcast within Japan on 15 March. ...

This was the fifth of seven nights at the Budokan. It was also the 7th show of the Winter 2009 Tour. Early reports indicate this was an all-around excellent show with slight revisions to the set list. Filmed for television broadcast in Japan.

Eric Clapton - Still Rocking In Tokyo! Budokan Night 4

After a four night break and with two shows with Jeff Beck sandwiched in between, Eric Clapton and His Band returned to Tokyo's Budokan for a show on 24 February. On Night 4 of the 7 concert series, EC continued the pattern of this tour with set list drawn of blues and gems from his Derek & The Dominos and extensive solo catalog. Eric's band features Doyle Bramhall II (guitars / vocals), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Willie Weeks (bass), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Michelle John (backing vocals).
