In May 2009, Eric Clapton will kick-off a 14 date Ireland / UK tour with performances in Dublin, Liverpool, Manchester and an 11 night residency at London's Royal Albert Hall. Eric Clapton Jams With The Allman Brothers A Second Time! Historic Show at NYC's Beacon Theatre

[Updated] On 20 March, Eric Clapton again joined The Allman Brothers Band on stage at New York City's Beacon Theatre for a seven-song set that left those in attendance speechless. Although the 19th was an excellent performance, the 20th was one of those magic nights that music fans live for. One fan wrote to Where's Eric, "Astonishing. I had anticipated Clapton playing humble sideman, but Eric's presence pushed the band through the roof from the moment he took the stage. As a confessed Cream-era devotee, seeing EC play in that scenario / venue was like a dream. Trucks / Haynes were appropriately unrestrained and there was never a condescending sense of "staying out of Clapton's way". Like the previous evening, EC's long-time guitar technician, Lee Dickson, was spotted during intermission setting up EC's gear.
