Eric, his band and crew continued their trek through the southern U.S. with a gig in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday night. Those in attendance at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center heard classic blues like "Going Down Slow," "Key To The Highway," and "Little Queen of Spades" along with songs like "Old Love", "I Shot The Sheriff," and "Badge". The 16 song set list was identical to the previous evening's Nashville concert.
Eric Clapton's current U.S. Tour is underway and stopped at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee on 27 February. The 11 date tour winds through the southern states through 13 March. One fan told Where's Eric! that, "Eric's guitar playing was second to none in Nashville. He showed why he is a living legend ... This was one of the best concerts I have been to in my life and I have seen many".
Right on the heels of a four-city mini-tour with Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton kicked off his solo U.S. tour in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 25 February 2010. Unlike the recent shows with Jeff Beck, Eric opened his 15 song set "plugged in" with "Going Down Slow". The middle third of the show was "unplugged" and included "Running On Faith" from 1989's Journeyman CD and "I've Got A Rock 'N Roll Heart" which has been re-popularized due to it's use in the U.S.
