    LISTEN HERE NOW! Eric Clapton recently spoke to Eric Westervelt of National Public Radio (NPR) about the recording of his new album, "The Breeze (An Appreciation of JJ Cale)" and his friendship with the late American songwriter and musician. Clapton laments that Cale is better known in Europe than his home country and reveals that one year after his passing, we still don't know the half of his songrwriting talent. NPR posits that fans who love the guitar hero's scorching electric solos and those who prefer his more mellow pop might find common ground on "The Breeze."

    VH1 Classic and Palladia have an incredible behind the scenes special on “The Breeze (An Appreciation of JJ Cale)" featuring exclusive interviews with Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Mark Knopfler, Derek Trucks, Don White and more. The show will premiere on VH1 Classic today, July 25, at 9 PM EST and on Palladia on Saturday, July 26 at 9 PM EST. It will repeat at 12AM EST on July 27.

    Palladia will lead into the premiere broadcast with highlights from the 2004, 2007 and 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festivals beginning at 3PM EST.

    Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale will be released in Germany, Australia and New Zealand on 25 July, the U.K. on 28 July and Japan on 30 July. Guitar World has exclusively premiered "Train To Nowhere" - an unrecorded JJ Cale song -  featuring Mark Knopfler and Don White. They also published an excerpt from their forthcoming interview with Clapton (September issue). Leading music industry magazine Billboard premiered "Don't Wait," which features John Mayer.
