Eric Clapton is featured in several recent releases from other artists plus a massive DVD box set celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Levitate, from Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers, is out now. It features EC in a guest spot on the track "Space Is The Place". EC joined Bruce and the band on The Jay Leno Show (NBC, US) last week to perform the song. It's the second time EC has joined Hornsby in the recording studio as a guest.
HBO will broadcast four hours of highlights from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concerts on 29 November at 8PM ET (US). The shows take place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on 29 and 30 October. Each evening has a different lineup of performers and guests. Eric Clapton headlines night two along with U2, Metallica and Aretha Franklin. Guests that night will be Jeff Beck, Van Morrison and Jerry Lee Lewis.
The publication of the Jack Bruce biography - Composing Himself: The Authorised Biography of Jack Bruce - has been delayed until February 2010 according to the publisher, Jawbone Press.
Audio Fidelity of Camarillo, California is slated to release one of the seminal blues recordings of the 1960s - "John Mayall with Eric Clapton: Blues Breakers" - on 24K gold disc this fall. Audio Fidelity works from the master mix tapes using their proprietary analog to digital converter then etches "real time" onto the disc's glass surface by laser at the manufacturing plant to ensure the highest possible audio quality.
