Clapton & Company Still Going Strong At The Albert Hall: Night 8

In the venue the legendary musician once likened to "playing in his front room", Eric Clapton treated his fans to an outstanding 17song performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 26 May 2009. There were some surprises all around. "Got To Get Better In A Little While" made it's first appearance this tour early on in the set. Also, Doyle Bramhall II of the Arc Angels took a guest spot with the band on guitar near the show's close for "Layla," (plugged back in!), "Cocaine" and "Crossroads"....

Eric Clapton Concert Details: 25 May 2009 - Royal Albert Hall

In front of a capacity crowd, the 16 song set was drawn from all eras of Eric Clapton's lengthy career. The "hits" were represented by songs like "Wonderful Tonight" and "Cocaine" while the band stretched out on songs like "Old Love," "I Shot The Sheriff" "Before You Accuse Me" and "Little Queen of Spades." The band has really gelled and songs have been worked into a solid groove. "Driftin'" was performed as the first song of the sit-down set and "Not Dark Yet" was dropped....

23 May 2009: Night Six at the Royal Albert Hall for Eric Clapton & His Band

It was the second Saturday night at the Royal Albert Hall, concert number six for Eric Clapton and the half-way point of his 11 night residency on 23 May 2009. Eric and his band were in great form. Clocking in at almost two-hours, the sixteen song set continues to offer a mix of blues, songs from EC's 1989 album "Journeyman" and a bunch of hits. One fan, who was attending his first show of the tour was impressed.
