Eric Clapton Jams With The Allman Brothers Band!

[Updated] Following more than a decade of annual rumours that "Clapton's going to jam with the Allman Brothers at the Beacon this year" and two recent reports in Rolling Stone online,the wishful thinking of music fans finally came true on 19 March 2009. One fan in attendance emailed Where's Eric! with the low down shortly after the concert ended. From the opening notes of the concert, expectations were running high that Eric Clapton would indeed appear. The excitement continued to build throughout the Allman Brothers first set. By intermission, the atmosphere was truly electric.

Where's Eric! Issue 41 is currently being put together by the Where's Eric! Editorial Team. As always, the magazine will feature exclusive reviews, interviews (including Buddy Guy and Abe Laboriel, Jr.), photos, special features and a trainspotter's guide to the set lists. In the new issue, we'll even be giving away a Fender Stratocaster autographed by Buddy Guy to a lucky subscriber to celebrate the release of his most recent CD, Skin Deep, along with autographed copies of the CD.

Arc Angels Opening For Eric Clapton Spring 2009

The eagerly anticipated reunion of the Arc Angels features original band members Charlie Sexton, Doyle Bramhall II and Chris Layton performing together again. After more than a decade apart, the band has entered the studio to record new music, is slated to open for Eric Clapton on his Spring tour, and will release a Live CD / DVD with a U.S. summer tour to follow. "Charlie and I started to write together again and decided that we should get the band back together. The chemistry that we all have together is one entity and it's something very real. It's fun," said Bramhall.
